Home | Speak and know the Olive Oil

This special event is only held once a year, for one week, during one of the most fascinating seasons ever: autumn. It is designed for students who would like to practise the Italian language and at the same time get to know the secrets of one of the main traditions of our territory: the making of extra virgin olive oil.

Participation in this program requires at least an intermediate knowledge of Italian.

Course duration: one week.

2024 starting dates: 21 October.

Minimum number of participants: 2

Program: From Monday to Friday in the morning: 9.15 am to 1 pm italian language classes in small groups of same level (max 10 participants). ACTIVITIES AFTER LANGUAGE CLASSES Monday : Introduction to the program and walk through the old city with the teacher, discovering and tasting products of traditional lucchese gastronomy. Tuesday : visit of an olive grove and of an oil mill on the hills of Lucca with information on the olive oil production chain. Wednesday : Comparative olive oil tasting guided by a teacher who is also a "maestro d'olio", introducing you to the secrets of the "liquid gold".
